Gene have announced two London shows for the autumn.
The British band's classic line-up — Martin Rossiter (vocals), Matt James (drums), Steve Mason (guitars) and Kevin Miles (bass) — will headline the Roundhouse with two unique sets on October 9 and 10. Frontman Rossiter said:
"Two nights, two different sets, too many songs to fit into one evening. We’ll be giving our fans everything at these very special Roundhouse dates. It’s good to be back, see you there."
Support on both dates will come from The Slow Readers Club and Rialto. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (February 27).
The new shows follow the reunited four-piece's previously scheduled UK and Ireland tour next month, their first proper run of dates since a trio of sold-out comeback shows in Leeds, Sheffield and London last autumn.
Formed in 1993, Gene released 'Libertine' in 2001, their fourth and final studio album before splitting in December 2004.
They're set to release a live album titled 'Apollo' through independent label Costermonger on April 24, recorded during their reunion show at London's Eventim Apollo last October.
