Duran Duran And Nile Rodgers Join Forces For New Single Free To Love

Duran Duran have released a new single, Free To Love.
Built on a shimmering disco-inspired groove, the upbeat track features longtime collaborator Nile Rodgers. It marks the '80s pop legends' first new music of 2026 and their latest collaboration with the disco and funk legend, continuing a partnership that stretches back to 1984's hit single The Reflex. Keyboardist Nick Rhodes commented:
"Every time we plug in and play with Nile, the electricity he generates could light up a whole city. We share a common belief that music is a force for good and something that brings positive energy into the world. 'Free To Love' is our call to all the people out there who want peace, hope and understanding to prevail. An anthem for freedom, which is the most valuable currency we have, and something that should be truly and freely available for everyone, everywhere. 'Free To Love' has a simple message, there is nothing more important than freedom and love. We certainly need a lot more of both in the world right now."
Rodgers added: "True love is free and unconditional. My love for Duran Duran and what our music together has always been about, is the love we share for our song's deepest meanings. Whatever chaos is going on outside, inside the studio we're free to love our peace."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees released their most recent album, the Halloween-themed 'Danse Macabre', in October 2023, followed by 'Danse Macabre: De Luxe' in 2024. Prior to that, they put out 'Future Past' in 2021.
Earlier this month, they were announced as headliners for BST Hyde Park this summer, performing at the outdoor London concert series on July 5 with support from Scissor Sisters and more, as part of a wider European tour. They'll also headline BeachLife Festival in California and a return to Las Vegas for performances in May. Tickets are on sale now.
Grammy-winning Rodgers also has a busy summer ahead, with several outdoor UK shows and festival dates scheduled for June and August as part of a run of date across Europe. He relased his most recent studio album with CHIC, 'It's About Time', in 2018. Since then, he's collaborated with a number of major artists, including Pitbull, Kygo and Emeli Sandé.
