DMA's announced their self-titled fifth album.
The Australian indie-rock trio will release the eponymously titled 'DMA's' through Wonderlick Entertainment/Sony Music Australia/RCA UK on August 7, following 2023's 'How Many Dreams?'. Written and recorded between their studio in Glebe, Sydney and Los Angeles, the album was mostly co-produced by the band with Grammy-nominated producer Lach Bostock and additional help from Jimi Somewhere and Styalz Fuego.
Alongside the announcement, DMA's have shared a new single titled Heatin Park, which serves up their stadium-sized, Britpop-inspired sound in a nod to Manchester's Heaton Park. Head below to view the accompanying video, shot in the UK and Melbourne. Guitarist Matt Mason said:
"Heatin Park started as an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us and that collision is what gives it its feral energy. The album is called DMA’S because that’s exactly what it is and we’re keen to bring it home and play for you all."
The album will also include the trio's earlier single, My Baby's Place, which dropped last month.
They'll continue to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album 'Hill's End' with further UK shows next month, including an appearance at Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, Cheshire. Later in the year, they'll return to Australia for new performances in Brisbane, Mebourne and Sydney. Tickets go on general sale at 1pm local time on Friday (May 1).
