Hans Zimmer will return to Australia later this year.
The Oscar and Grammy-winning composer will take his Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level production to Perth's RAC Arena, Adelaide's AEC Arena, Brisbane's Entertainment Centre, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena between October 12 and 28.
Having already performed to fans across Europe, Zimmer will be accompanied by a 19-piece band and Australian vocalist Lisa Gerrard, among other singers, to deliver a fusion of electronic music and orchestration. He explained:
"I want fans to feel like they’re at a rave party or riding a roller coaster. For me, every show is a new voyage of discovery. The greatest challenge is the status quo – you have to do everything in your power to leave it behind and find and create something new.”
Tickets for all shows go on general sale at 2pm local time on June 3.
Prior to the tour, Zimmer will play four shows across Asia between September 16 to October 7, with tickets for his Kaohsiung and Taipei dates on sale at 12pm TST on June 2, while his Singapore show goes on sale at 10am SGT the same day. He's also set to perform a rescheduled show in Doha on November 6.
One of the best-known film composers in the world, Zimmer has spent the last year focused on several film and television scores, including the soundtrack for F1, the upcoming film Dune: Part Three and the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series with his Bleeding Fingers Music company.
Zimmer also worked with RAYE on her single Click Clack Symphony, which appeared on her second album 'This Music May Contain Hope.' that came out this March.
