The Music Venue Trust and The National Lottery have announced more acts and venues for Everywhere At Once, a UK-wide live music weekend.
Taking place across three days next month, Everywhere At Once will bring the festival season to over 400 grassroots music venues across the country with major artists, touring acts and the most exciting emerging talent combining for more than 1,000 gigs.
Taking place on what would have been the Glastonbury Festival weekend of June 26 to 28, leading the new addtions are Fatboy Slim, D Double E, Gene, Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, P Money, Lucy Spraggan and Westside Cowboy.
Tillbrook will perform at The Theatreship at London's Canary Wharf, while Lucy Spraggan will play The Sub Rooms in Stroud. D Double E will host a show at The Brickworks in Nottingham and Westside Cowboy will play a hometown gig at Low Four in Manchester.
Venue and ticket details for Fatboy Slim's show will be confirmed in the run-up to the festival weekend. He said:
"I’ve been lucky enough to play huge stages all over the world, but grassroots venues are where it all started for me and where music scenes really begin, where artists learn their craft, where communities form, and where people come together purely for the love of it. Without grassroots venues, independent promoters and local crowds taking a chance on something new, none of this exists.
“These spaces are vital for culture and for local communities, so if there’s anything I can do to help shine a light on them and help keep that spirit alive, I’m more than happy to be involved. And if you care about music, go out and support your local venues, buy a ticket, discover somebody new, and be part of keeping those scenes alive."
Previously confirmed acts for the weekend include Becky Hill, Tinie Tempah, The Lathums, Rizzle Kicks, The Divine Comedy, Master Peace, Jodie Harsh, Toddla T, Brooke Combe, VLURE, Royston Club, Miki Berenyi Trio, Tom A Smith, and Vigilantes, plus more established, local and up-and-coming artists. Head to everywherefest.com for full listings and ticket details.
Attendees will also be supporting various music charities, with donations going to War Child, Nordoff and Robbins, Help Musicians UK and Teenage Cancer Trust.
