Cara Delevingne Launches Music Career With Debut Singles I Forgot and Out Of My Head

Cara Delevingne has shared her first two singles.
Released via Warner Records, the interconnected I Forgot and Out Of My Head arrive with a seven-minute short film directed by Emmy-winner Jessica Lee Gagné, best known for her work on Severance. The songs serve as the first taster of the multi-hyphenate's debut album, expected this summer.
Both co-written with Trey Campbell and co-produced with BJ Burton, whose credits include Bon Iver, Nine Inch Nails and Charli XCX, the slow-burning I Forgot switches between passages of delicate vocals and distorted, industrial-leaning synths, while Out Of My Head is more intense and features drum ’n’ bass beats. Commenting on officially launching her music career, Delevingne said:
"Music was always that dream I had, but never believed I would get the opportunity to create. Writing ‘I Forgot’ felt like a rebirth for me and ‘Out of my Head’ was like going to therapy. Everything has felt like it’s led up to this point and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it."
Further details of her forthcoming LP, including a title and tracklist, are yet to be revealed, though more information is to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The new music follows news of Delevingne's debut shows across Europe, the UK and the US next month, including two nights at London's 26 Leake Street. She'll also appear at a handful of festivals, including All Things Go NYC and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Buenos Aires and São Paulo. Tickets are on sale now.
