Gilla Band Share New Single Alogia Alongside 2027 UK And European Tour Announcement

Gilla Band have shared another song from their upcoming fourth album.
Following earlier singles Placeholder and Giraffe, the intense Alogia pairs the Dublin band's noisy post-punk with unsettling energy and arrives alongside a video directed by Cuan Roche. Vocalist Dara Kiely said:
"Alogia means poverty of speech linked to mental health conditions. I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia while writing the lyrics. I thought I could just walk off the old mental illness but alas!"
The track offers a further glimpse into 'Pugnello', due out on September 25 via Rough Trade Records. The band will support it with two intimate shows at New Century Hall in Manchester and The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London, where they'll perform in the round, on October 7 and 8, respectively.
Following that, they've lined up a North American tour in October and November, with PISS, Mulch and Annie-Claude Deschenes joining them on select dates.
The quartet then play new shows across Europe and the UK early next year, with the run including stops in Bristol, London, Manchester and Glasgow between February 10 and 13, with support from Makeshift Art Bar in Europe and Silverwingkiller in the UK.
They've also announced pre-release listening events in London and Dublin, where fans can hear the album in full before taking part in Q&As with the band, alongside Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods in London and Ian Lynch in Dublin.
