Riotous, indie-punk, Cardiff-based Los Campesinos! are hitting the road again like asphalt bullies. The band are so lazer-focused on tours and churning out music that one member, Aleks, only just remembered this Summer that she’s a student and quit to catch up on her studies. Fortunately, Gareth's sister Kim has stepped in to take up the slack.Click here for Los Campesinos tickets.

Starting in 2006 with a series of successful gigs around the ‘Diff and posting their songs on the net, the band got played by BBC Radio 1 Wales, started touring as support for ‘Broken Social Scene’ and got signed the same year. In case you’re curious, ‘Los Campesinos’ means ‘The Farmers’ in Spanish. Well, it does according to one of those Internet translator things.

Los Campesinos! are another band with confusing grammar. That gratuitous exclamation mark! Do you shout your reply when someone asks who you’re going to see? 'Therapy?' were confusing enough, this could start fights. Still, it does make sense as a name; Los Campesinos! do love to shout, and it could be worse. There’s a ‘band’ called ‘Gravy Train!!!!’ Four exclamation marks! Imagine trying to tell someone you were listening to ‘Gravy Train!!!!’. You’d hit them in the face with your vocal cords. ‘Romance is Boring’, Los Campesinos! new album, will be released on February 1st.
