The Magic Numbers Return With New Album And UK Tour

The Magic Numbers have announced a new UK tour to coincide with the release of their new album ‘The Runaway’, due out this June.

Nearly four years since the release of their last album, 2006’s ‘Those The Brokes’, indie family-band The Magic Numbers will return with their third record and a new tour this summer.

Forming in 2002, the band consists of two pairs of brothers and sisters, Romeo Stodart, Michele Stodart, Sean Gannon and Angela Gannon. The Magic Numbers released their self-titled debut in 2005, which went on to be nominated for the Mercury Music Prize that year. The follow up ‘Those The Brokes’ was released in late 2006.

Featuring the string arrangements by the late Robert Kirby, famous for his work with Elvis Costello and Nick Drake, the new album is the last work before his death in October last year and is set for release on 7th June.

The third album has already had one track released, “Hurt So Good”, which was released as a free digital download. Single number one, “The Pulse”, is expected to be available from 12th April.

The band will be touring the follow-up to 2006's 'Those The Brokes' during the month of its release, finishing with a show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on June 17.

The Magic Numbers will play the following UK dates:
