Mogwai To Present 'Burning' Party Screening at London Scala + DJ Set

Mogwai and ATP will be presenting a special one-off screening of their awe inspiring film 'Burning' at The Scala on Thursday 3rd June along with a special live DJ set with various Mogwai band members.

The film by Vincent Moon and Nataniel La Souanec comprises footage shot over three nights at sold-out shows in Brooklyn on April 27th, 28th and 29th 2009 at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg & was shown for the first time at this year's Glasgow Film Festival.

Mogwai performs an incandescent show in front of a stunned crowd. As if time stood still, the audience is transported along by musical waves, both poetic and violent. 'Burning' dives into this wild sensual flow. Directors Vincent Moon and Nathanaël Le Scouarnec guide us into a dream where there is no tomorrow. This is a black and white experience of the senses carved by the raw emotion of this pioneering band that doesn't need any words to touch the heart of its listeners. Layered and innovative, the movie has its finger firmly on their pulse, a sonic adventure between hope and rebellion. A lifetime of feelings in just one night.

The songs featured in the film are;
- The Precipice
- I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead
- Hunted By A Freak
- Like Herod
- New Paths to Helicon pt1
- Mogwai Fear Satan
- Scotland's Shame
- Batcat

Mogwai's first live album will be released on Rock Action Records on August 23rd. Released alongside the live film Burning. The formats will be CD and DVD and limited deluxe triple vinyl box set which will also include the dvd of Burning, set lists and a poster.

The Burning Party at London's Scala will also feature a live performance by Remember Remember (Rock Action records) and DJ sets by Mogwai, Fuck Buttons and Errors.
