Originally best known as the frontman of new wave band Oingo Boingo, he later found major success as a composer for film and television. He is responsible for, and has contributed to, some of the most iconic scores in popular culture, including The Simpsons, Batman and many Tim Burton films such as Beetlejuice, Edwards Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. His efforts have earned him a number of honours, including four Academy Award nominations, two Emmys and a Grammy. He released his latest studio album, 'Bigger. Messier.', in 2022.
