Estère is a singer songwriter from New Zealand whose lyric writing escapes the realms of popular music - delving into philosophical narratives about displaced refugees,rent, urges, and prostitutes becoming presidents. She also samples extensively in her work, manipulating the sounds of Vietnamese trees in the wind, a cutlery drawer, and the clicking tongue of a possum.
She released her eponymous debut in 2015, and follwoed this up with a string of singles and videos. Her sophomore effort, the double album, 'My Design, On Others' Lives', dropped in April 2018.
