Europe are a rock band from Stockholm, Sweden.

Formed in 1979 under the name Force, the band's big break came after frontman Joey Tempest’s girlfriend encouraged them to enter a 4000-strong battle of the bands, which they won.

They went on to release their self-titled debut album in 1983, going on to put out a further ten albums, including their most recent, 2017's 'Walk The Earth'. They are particularly well-known for their most popular and recognisable single, The Final Countdown, which reached the #1 spot in the music charts of 25 countries, including the UK.
