Johnny Clegg is a South African afro-pop musician and anthropologist. Best known as a member of Juluka and Savuka, as well as for his solo career.
Starting his musical career in 1969, after forming Juluka with Sipho Mchunu, the duo released seven albums, before disbanding in 1985. They returned for one final album, ‘Crocodile Love’, in 1997. He then went on to form Savuka, who released four albums before splitting in 1994. He then went on to launch a solo career, releasing several albums, including his latest album, ‘Human’, in 2010, as well as touring live across the world. Johnny Clegg is set to play two shows at London’s Eventim Apollo in August as part of his The Final Journey Tour.
