The New York Knicks are an American basketball team that was founded back in 1946. Members of the NBA's Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, they play their games at the iconic Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York.

One of two New York teams (along with the Brooklyn Nets), the Knicks would enjoy a lot of success in their earlier years, winning two NBA Championships in the early '70s and a fair few conference and division titles along the way too.

After suffering a dry patch after the millennium, the Knicks would win their first division title for almost 20 years in the 2012/2013 season, but were soon knocked out of the playoffs.
