Professor Brian Cox is a physicist and broadcaster from Lancashire.
He currently serves as professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester, and works at the highly-publicised Large Hadron Collider, as well as presenting BBC Radio Show The Infinite Monkey Cage with stand-up comedian and writer Robin Ince. Thought provoking and very educational
Lancaster Grand Theatre on December 11 2025
I have seen Brian on TV shows and always look forward to watching anything he does especially regarding the cosmos. So when my daughter purchased two tickets to go and watch him live, I was made up.
The title of his talk was Resurgence, it covers the history of scientific discoveries. You cannot fault Brian's delivery as he manages to break down the complexity of physics so that lesser mortals like me can at least grasp and understand a little of a very complex topic. I found the part were he explained the make up of particles very interesting. I'm not going to go into much detail as I don't want to spoil it for anyone thinking of attending one of his talks. I would not hesitate to watch him again and enjoyed the evening.
