Roy Keane is a retired footballer and football manager from Cork, Ireland.
Keane began his professional playing career with Cobh Ramblers before joining Manchester United in 1993, where he became captain and a central figure in the team's dominance of English football through the 1990s and early 2000s. He won seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999, completing a treble-winning season. Following his playing career, he has managed clubs including Sunderland and Ipswich Town and served as assistant manager for the Republic of Ireland national team. He was named PFA Player of the Year in 1999, and was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2004. He is now often a pundit on Sky Sports and ITV football coverage, and has been involved in charity matches and testimonial games for Manchester United and other clubs.
