Tamikrest are an African music group that originates from Kidal, Bali. Formed in 2006, the band consists of Ousmane Ag Mossa, Aghaly Ag Mohamedine, Cheick Ag Tiglia, Ibrahim Ag Ahmed Salam, Mahmoud Ag Ahmouden, Mossa Ag Borreiba, Fatma Wallet Cheick, Bassa Wallet Abdamou, and Wannou Wallet Sidaty.
Known for their eclectic mix of traditional African music and tamashek with Western style pop and rock, Tamikrest have managed to pick up a worldwide fanbase and have released three records via their home Glitterhouse Records. Winners of the Best Group category in the Songlines Music Awards 2014, they hit the UK for a tour in November 2014 - check below to find tickets!
