The Killers are an American indie rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of frontman Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. The band have sold 22 million records worldwide and have had four UK #1 albums.
Formed in 2001, the band released their debut album, ‘Hot Fuss’, in 2004, which contained hits such as Smile Like You Mean It and Mr Brightside. ‘Sam's Town followed in 2006, with ‘Day & Age’, being released in 2008. The band’s last album, ‘Battle Born’, came out in 2012, yet again reaching #1 in the UK, and #3 in the US chart. The band are set to release their latest album, ‘Wonderful Wonderful’, on September 22, 2017.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the world, including playing London’s Wembley Stadium in 2012. The band will celebrated 10 years since their first London show with a special one-off date at the Eventim Apollo in November 2013, a preface to their career-spanning 'Direct Hits' compilation, and in 2014 they returned to the UK and Ireland for festival headline shows at V Festival and Tennent's Vital. In April 2016 the band opened the brand new Las Vegas Arena in Nevada.
The Killers will head across the pond for a North American tour in 2018, and hit Australia and New Zealand, too!
Back on British soil, the band have lined up two stadium shows in Bolton and Swansea, alongside news of headlining Isle of wight Festival this year for its 50th anniversary. In Europe, they play Lollapalooza Paris and a Rock in Roma concert in the summer too, as well as an open air concert at the RDS Arena in Dublin!
