They Might Be Giants, aka TMBG, are an American alternative rock and indie outfit, with members hailing from Lincoln, Massachusetts and Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 1982, it originally consisted of just John Flansburgh and John Linnell, who were accompanied by a drum machine, but after deciding to recruit a backing band in the 90s, they're now running as a five piece.
