Born in Newtown, Pennsylvania, after college Cooper moved to New York City in 2018 where she set up the Call Her Daddy podcast with her roommate Sofia Franklyn. Following the first couple of episodes, the podcast was acquired by digital media company Barstool Sports which saw downloads rising from 12,000 to 2,000,000 in two months. Having signed a three-year exclusive deal with Spotify worth $60 million, Cooper is now the second highest paid podcaster, behind only Joe Rogan. Alex Cooper has announced a new tour, titled The Unwell Tour, in celebration of the launch of her production company The Unwell Network, which will head across North America between November 3 and 14, 2023.
