The club was started in 1972, initially using a church community centre and then the nearby Hare & Hounds pub. It moved to the Red Lion almost thirty years ago and has since hosted some of the biggest names in folk, including Tom Paxton, Richard Thompson, Maddy Prior and Steeleye Span.
