Cardiff Rugby Football Club was founded in 1876 after a meeting at Swiss Hall, Queen Street, which resulted in the amalgamation of two clubs, Glamorgan and Cardiff Wanderers.
From 2003 to 2021 the club were known as the Cardiff Blues before changing their name to Cardiff Rugby prior to the start of the 2021-22 season. They are based at Cardiff Arms Park, also known as The Arms Park, which is situated in the centre of Cardiff, Wales. Cardiff Rugby have twice won the European Challenge Cup, in 2010 and 2018, along with the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2009.
