Corea is an American jazz fusion extraordinaire hailing from Chelsea, Massachusett. Born in 1941, he was one of the driving forces in the electric jazz movement, and is known for his time in Miles Davis' band, as well as as a solo star. He's also played his part in a vast number of bands and projects, releasing countless singles and albums throughout his career. Chicago-born star Herbie Hancock is, like Corea, an extremely talented pianist, composer, and musician. Although he’s most famous playing jazz, he’s delved into a plethora of genres, including post-bop (for which he is recognised as a ‘primary architect’), funk, R&B, and classical.
