Marcus Miller is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Emerging in the mid-'70s, Miller would become one of the most respected and beloved jazz artists in the US, working with all kinds of names - including Herbie Hancock, Luther Vandross, and Miles Davis.

Though he's best noted as a bass guitarist, Miller has the ability to play a range of instruments at virtuoso level, and has managed to maintain both a healthy solo career and a constant stream of collabs and link-ups over his 40 years in the game.
