The Circus of Horrors is a contemporary circus, based in the UK.
Founded in 1995 by Dr John Haze and Gerry Cottle, they first took to the stage at Glastonbury Festival later that year. Known for their concoction of horror, black comedy and rock music, the show channels goth aesthetics and burlesque, inspired by Victorian freak shows. The show gained more attention when they became semi-finalists on Britain's Got Talent in 2011, and performed with celebrities from all corners of entertainment: from goth, rock and metal artists such as Alice Cooper, Gary Numan, Marilyn Manson, The Damned and Cradle of Filth, to pop, sport and TV stars including Boy George, Lenny Henry, Gary Lineker, Robbie Williams, Yvette Fielding and Ant & Dec. The circus also holds several Guinness World Records, including the world's largest custard pie fight, most swords swallowed in one minute, the most vampires in the same place at the same time, lifting the greatest weight by the hair and the largest human mobile. The Circus Of Horrors will return to venues across the UK between October 2023 and March 2024. Catch the show live by checking tour dates and ticket information via Stereoboard.
