Hotly-tipped Nottingham quintet Dog Is Dead have announced details of a UK headline tour, which will take place this autumn. The run of dates will kick off at Manchester’s Academy 23rd October, following with shows in Birmingham, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, Bristol, London, Exeter and Brighton, before finishing up at Leeds Cockpit on 6th November. The tour will shortly follow the release of the band’s debut album 'All Our Favourite Stories', out 8th October.

Although some rock and metal shows can get a little rowdy, what with an audience mostly comprised of rather large, rather drunk motorbikers, you wouldn’t expect a gig featuring comedy rock duo Tenacious D to get very violent. But that’s exactly what happened at one of their shows in Las Vegas’ House of Blues on Saturday night - after an audience member was stabbed following a fight in the crowd.
