Following the announcement of the MTV Brand New for 2012 shortlist, MTV UK & Ireland have announced two exclusive January gigs, showcasing nominated artists and established UK stars at London’s KOKO. Indie rockers The Maccabees will headline a show on Tuesday 24th January, supported by nominees Lana Del Rey and Charli XCX. The next day, Wednesday 25th, rising star Emeli Sandé will headline a show supported by Delilah, with another nominee soon to be confirmed.

Newly announced 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Red Hot Chili Peppers, have announced more dates for the North American leg of their 'I'm With You' World tour. Tickets for four more shows go on sale on December 17th. The 2012 arena tour is the band's first full-scale tour of the U.S. since 2007 when they hit the road in support of 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium'.
