Simon Cowell To Make Little Mix Bigger Than Spice Girls

They’ve only been crowned as winners for about a day, but Simon Cowell is hoping that X-Factor champs Little Mix will go on to become as marketable as the Spice Girls – and that they’ll earn around £8million.

The group have already managed to pick up £150,000 in advance from their lucrative £1million SyCo record contract that they received as a prize for winning the X-Factor, but Cowell can see them far surpassing the amount, which is almost pocket change to the mogul.

The Sun reports that Cowell has money on the mind and is already planning gigs, tours and deals with the group, who will apparently charge £50,000 per corporate gig. They are hoping to work out endorsement deals in the fashion industry too, including clothing, make-up and hair product deals.

“Offers have been coming in for weeks now,” The Sun’s source told them. “People in marketing spend their lives looking for suitable role models. Little Mix are the full package. The trick will be knowing what to turn down. Simon has made no bones of the fact that he wants the best writers on board. He genuinely thinks the girls can be as big as - if not bigger than - the Spice Girls.”

And the comparisons with the Spice Girls are likely to continue, as Cowell has already enlisted songwriter Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard – the same writer who wrote the Spice Girls’ megahit ‘Wannabe’ - to work with the girls on their debut record. Gary Barlow is also thought to be in on the writing process.
