Ooberman Reform To Release Third Album

Sunday, 23 April 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageCritically acclaimed Indie band Ooberman have reformed and will release a new album later this year.

The band were dropped by their label, Independiente, in 2000 after poor record sales of debut album 'The Magic Treehouse'. Despite this, they continued to work together and released the second album 'Hey Petrunko' in 2003 on their own label. They split up shortly afterwards.

Now the band are back together making new music again.

A message on the band official site ooberman.net states that "the band have now reformed and recorded a new album, title yet to be confirmed. The band are aiming for a summer release, distributed by Cargo Records. There are no current plans to play live."

"The new album began as a collection of old rare tracks with a couple of new songs thrown in for extra value.  But quickly the new recordings mounted and replaced the rarities until it became: Ooberman's 3rd album!"

The as-yet-untitled album will be released in the summer and the provisional tracklisting for the LP is as follows:

1.  Carried Away
2.  Crashing Ellipticals
3.  Mary Grows Old
4.  Beauty of Your Soul
5.  Lavender Blue
6.  Far Far Away
7.  Twinkling Aurora
8.  Bong
9.  Easy
10. Eye of the Storm
11. My Yiddishe Mamma
12. Rosie Mel
13. Go to Sleep
