North Yorkshire Set to Rock at this Months Galtres Festival

On Saturday the 28th and Sunday 29th August, Crayke near York will host The Forest Of Galtres Festival. Since 2005 the event has grown from a small beer and music festival into one of the biggest events in North Yorkshire.
Last year was a sell out when the Bluetones headlined the event and this year looks set to be another success, which will be headlined by The Lightning Seeds, The Wonder Stuff and Chris Helme, of Sea Horses fame on the Saturday and The Beat and Dodgy on Sunday.
There will also be around 100 bands and artists supporting, playing on the events four stages.
Along with great music comes alcohol a plenty, with 100 different North Yorkshire beers and 33 varieties of real cider, family entertainment including a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Music Workshops and a Climbing Wall and a young talent stage, night cabaret stage and an open mic stage in the beer tent.
The event is supported by Welcome to Yorkshire and all proceeds are donated to charity, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, St Monica’s Hospital, the Arts Barge Project and Impact Young Heroes.
Tickets for the weekend are priced at £30 for adults, which will rise to £35, nearer the event, £20 for a day ticket and half price for those between 5 and 17.
