US Singer-Songwriter Lissie Announces Second 2010 UK Tour For December & Tickets

Critically acclaimed American singer-songwriter Lissie has announced she will quickly follow-up her forthcoming sold-out October tour with another UK tour in December.

Having been described as an artist who has stepped straight out of the 1960’s, Lissie’s acoustic folk sound and long flowing hair has seen her being compared to the likes of Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde and Sheryl Crow.

Released last June, her guest star–laden debut album ‘Catching a Tiger’ was warmly received by critics who have now marked her as an artist to watch. Following some stunning live performances at many of this summer's festivals, Lissie has gathered a huge following that includes celebrities such as Katy Perry, Courtney Love and Mark Ronson.

Currently preparing to hit the road with Dublin band The Script, Lissie will be acting as the main support on the Irish alternative-rock group’s upcoming short tour which kicks-off on September 11th and runs for just one week. Following the breakneck tour Lissie will then head out on the road again, this time on her own sold-out tour of the UK, supporting her debut album ‘Catching a Tiger’. The Illinois singer-songwriter will then return to the UK in December for another nine shows.

Lissie will play the following UK and Ireland shows:

December 2010

7th The Academy, Dublin
10th Northumbria University, Newcastle
11th O2 Academy, Leicester
13th O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
14th O2 Academy2, Oxford
15th O2 Academy2, Liverpool
17th The Junction, Cambridge
18th The Leadmill, Sheffield
19th Concorde2, Brighton

Tickets are available from 9am on Friday 27th August.
