Ian Brown To Play Anniversary Show At Nottingham's Rock City & Tickets

Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has confirmed that he will play a one-off show at Nottingham’s Rock City as part of the venue’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.

Following on from a summer of international festival appearances, Ian Brown will be joined by guests Detroit Social Club when he plays the anniversary show on Thursday 16th December.

Carving his own swaggering path, the monkey man of Britpop’s career is the story of a generation. From the initial teenage thrill of punk, the mish-mashed mid-eighties culture, mods, skins and punks, paisley psychedelic shirts, drifting from band to band, cheap drugs, wild night, hot girls, great records and then finally the formation of a band that everyone can call their own, a band that still means so much to so many people, The Stone Roses.

However, the Roses story is just part of the legend now. Ian Brown has since moulded an astonishing solo career despite the constant requests to reform the legendary generation-changing Stone Roses. Brown’s latest album ‘My Way’ hit the shelves last year and has been labelled as his most autobiographical record to date, fuelled by a rocky few decades on the front line of British pop culture.

Powering on with a self-belief that has helped inspire an entire city as well as millions of fans across the world, the loose-limbed frontman just keeps coming. Who else is there better to fire up the celebrations of Rock City’s 30th birthday party than Ian Brown.

Ian Brown will play the following UK show:

December 2010

16th, Rock City, Nottingham

Tickets are onsale from 9am on Friday 3rd September, priced from £25.00
