Andrew W.K. has returned with the surprise release of a new jazz-inspired album.
Trading hard-partying rock for cinematic instrumentals, 'Temptation To Exist' is a collection of smooth, mostly piano-led arrangements, with the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist also playing guitar, bass, drums and more across its 10 tracks.
The project, his first in five years following 2021’s 'God Is Partying', first appeared on the fan-run platform AWKSHARE last Thursday (August 27), before an unofficial but verified Instagram page revealed the artwork the following day. His wife, actress Kat Dennings, also shared details on her Instagram page yesterday (August 31).
Andrew W.K. previously explored piano-driven music on his 2009 album, '55 Cadillac'.
