Russell Brand Announces 'Booky Wook 2' UK Tour & Ticket Details

Controversial, sex-fuelled star Russell Brand has announced a limited number of UK dates for his 'Booky Wook 2 Tour'. Taking-off where his international best-seller 'My Booky Wook' left, the scandalous comedian will entertain audiences with evenings of stand-up, an interview with a very special quest and audience Q&A sessions.

The glamorous master of ceremonies will appear at selected venues across the country as part of a promotional tour for his second book. Entitled Booky Wook 2: This Time its Personal', the new book will follow up Brand's international best-selling first volume of memoirs 'Booky Wook'.

Teaming up with partner-in-crime Jonathan Ross to promote the new book, you may remember the controversial duo experienced a spectacular fall from grace over the “Sachsgate” affair when they left some lewd messages on the phone of veteran actor Andrew Sachs. "Sachsgate" resulted in Ross being suspended from the BBC for three months and saw Brand resign from his BBC Radio 2 show. Ross later quit the BBC claiming that one of his reasons for leaving was to avoid the "sheer volume of negative press" he was attracting to the corporation.

Now the double-act will be unleashed once again, this time onstage where Ross will interview Brand at the London date of the tour at the end of this month. Brand's tour will also visit Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham and audiences are promised a chance to grill the Essex-born performer.

Russell Brand's 'Booky Wook 2' tour will take place on the following dates:

September 2010

30th Hackney Empire, London

October 2010

5th Venue 150 at EICC, Edinburgh
7th Opera House, Manchester
8th Hippodrome, Bristol
9th Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham

Russell Brand tickets are onsale now.
