Europe Announce 2011 'Balls N' Banners' UK Tour & Tickets

Rock pioneers Europe have confirmed nine dates for their 'Balls N' Banners' tour, which rolls across the UK in February next year.

Having released over ten albums as well as creating one of the most legendary anthems of the 20th century, The Final Countdown, Swedish 80's heroes Europe are back in the limelight with a new album and a heavier bluesy, hip-shaking metal sound that has pushed the boundaries of their success.

The new tour will follow the release of Europe's latest studio album 'Last Look at Eden' as well as stunning performances at this year's London iTunes festival and rock juggernaut Sonishphere. Speaking of the new album, Classic Rock Magazine rated the new record as one of the best hard rock albums of 2009 citing Europe as "one of the few bands around still making consistently thrilling rock records". Not bad for a band who are still wildly rocking-out some 20 years since their inception.

Europe vocalist Joey Tempest believes that the strength of the band’s last album is responsible for their current success. “You can’t make this stuff up! Our latest CD “Last Look At Eden” has really turned things around for us. You have to remember… We're just five punks who grew up in the suburbs of Stockholm listening to British rock.”

Revealing his excitement for the 2011 tour, Tempest continued, “We're gonna bring something very special when we return to the U.K in February 2011, we're having the time of our lives right now and the audience will experience a Europe-camp that's ON FIRE!”

Europe will play the following UK shows next year:

February 2011

18th O2 Academy, Leeds
19th O2 Academy, Birmingham
20th O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
22nd O2 Academy, Oxford
23rd O2 Academy, Bournemouth
