Eric Clapton And Steve Winwood Join Forces For Two London Shows & Tickets

Legendary musicians Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood are to unite on stage for two special shows at London's historic Royal Albert Hall in May 2011.
Connecting for the first time in 1969 both Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood formed the group Blind Faith along with Ginger Baker and Rick Grech. Despite only releasing one album, Blind Faith could be described as one of rock music's first ever “supergroups”.
Following on from their Stateside tour that saw Clapton and Winwood play three stunning shows at New York's Madison Square Garden in February 2008, both musicians will join forces for new shows on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th May 2011 at the Royal Albert Hall where they will undoubtedly display their shared love of the blues, exquisite guitar solos as well as few personal favourite tracks.
In addition to the co-headline shows, Eric Clapton is currently preparing the release of some new material this autumn. The singer-songwriter's 19th studio album 'Clapton' is set for release on October 19th and has been described as an album that touches on everything from century-old traditional brass bands, little-known country blues and brand-new originals. The result is both relaxed and revelatory and unlike anything the guitarist has done in his career.
To support the new album Clapton has revealed dates for a forthcoming 2011 UK tour, where he plans to showcase his new material across the UK and Ireland. Getting the tour underway in Dublin on May 9th Clapton will then play Belfast, Glasgow and Cardiff as well as a six-night residency at the historic Royal Albert Hall before his shows with Winwood.
