Take That will unveil the full length video for their first single as a five piece in more than 15 years this Friday (October 15th) on ITV's Daybreak around 8.30am.
Following possibly the most exciting reunion in British pop history, Take That finally unveil the title of their long awaited new single. ‘The Flood’ will be the first song from the band’s forthcoming album and will be released through Polydor Records on November 14th digitally and November 15th physically.
There has been speculation and excitement aplenty since the band reformed as a five piece, fuelled recently by pictures of Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie published rowing on the river Thames. This can now be confirmed as the making of the video for ‘The Flood’ which was filmed on location at Dorney Lake in Eton and on the Thames outside Westminster. The video, which was shot by Mat Whitecross who directed the Ian Drury biopic ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock n Roll’ and Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’.
The reunion of reunions took place in New York last September, following Take That’s record-breaking ‘The Circus Live’ tour. Shortly afterwards all five of the original Take That secretly wrote and recorded the six songs which would set the foundation for the forthcoming Stuart Price produced album, details of which will follow shortly.
Take That and Robbie Williams have between them sold over 80 Million albums, played to over 14.5 million people live, won 19 BRIT Awards, had 13 number one albums, 17 number one singles, eight MTV awards and five Ivor Novello awards; and the list goes on… The success they have achieved independently and as a group is extraordinary.
The video to Take That's new signal 'The Flood' will be premièred on terrestrial television on October 15th to coincide with the first radio play of the song.
