Robbie Williams' Greatest Hits On Course To Top UK album chart

Robbie Williams is set to top this week’s UK album chart, according to midweek figures. The Singer released ‘In And Out Of Consciousness: Greatest Hits’ on Monday this week (October 11th), and the album is currently outselling the rest of the top five on the chart
Williams announced his return to Take That earlier this year and is also currently at Number Two in the singles chart with ‘Shame’, a single released with his former bandmate Gary Barlow. The pair made a triumphant return to the limelight last month, performing together again publically for the first time at the ‘Help For Heroes’ concert at Twickenham stadium.
Other major contenders for the top spot include Tinie Tempah, Cliff Richard and dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man, who have been doing surprisingly well with their self-titled debut, currently sitting at the number four spot.
Despite the reunion with That That and flurry of recent activity from Robbie Williams, the singer has said that he no longer has the ambition to be a mainstream pop star. Speaking in an online interview, the singer declared that he would like to cut down his time in the public eye: “There’s no real burning or drive or ambition. You know, I’ll probably be a leap year artist from now on.”
Despite this reluctance, in a statement earlier this week Williams announced that he had no plans to cut short his reunion with Take That.
