ANR Announce UK Release of Stay Kids & UK Tour Dates

Hotly-tipped Miami duo ANR (Awesome New Republic), consisting of John Hancock and Brian Robertson, have announced the release of their new album 'STAY KIDS' in the UK via the SOMETHING IN CONSTRUCTION label in the near future.

Something In Construction is home to The Concretes, Memory Tapes, Guards and more. Rather amazingly, the band are also in the UK this week for their first ever visit - playing some shows in the capital.

Rising from various gallery and warehouse parties, ANR has become a beacon on the South Florida music and arts scene playing shows with Animal Collective, Gang Gang Dance, Neon Indian and No Age in Miami. The duo have been together since 2004, releasing their debut album 'ANR So Far' to critical acclaim in 2005, having previously performed together in a 5-piece band called Empirical Mile.

'The Endless Field Of Mercury' is the first tune from the forthcoming album. Jamie Harley was commissioned to create a video interpretation of the song, having previously put together videos for Memoryhouse, Memory Tapes and How To Dress Well - amongst many others. You can check out the rather wonderful video below.

To celebrate the release of the 'Stay Kids' album, the guys will be in the UK for the next week to play a string of shows in London.
