Biffy Clyro Join Slipknot As Sonisphere 2011 Headliners

Scots rock heroes Biffy Clyro will bring their famously energetic live performance, award-winning rock outs and catchy singalong anthems to Sonisphere for the first time, for an exclusive headlining set on the Saturday night.

The announcement comes hot off the heels of a massive arena tour which ended at a sold out Wembley Arena on Saturday night. With latest album 'Only Revolutions' going platinum in the UK and earning a Mercury Prize nomination for Album of The Year, plus their second UK Festival Award in the bag (for the Virtual Festivals Critics Choice Award in honour of their Glastonbury performance), Biffy Clyro are on a massive trajectory that will ensure their headline set on Knebworth’s mighty main stage is an iconic one in their career.

For a band that started out being called Skrewfish, the boys done good. Being discovered as unsigned hopefuls at T in the Park, it’s fair to say that festivals are in their blood, so expect to be blown away by a band on the top of their game at Sonisphere.

Biffy Clyro join Iowa metal legends Slipknot as headliners for Sonisphere 2011. More bands for the Knebworth rock event are set to be announced soon!
