Jimmy Page Planning To Play Shows In 2011

We might only be a few days into 2011 but the most exciting tour news of the year may already be on it’s way after guitar God Jimmy Page told Planet Rock he would like to get back out on tour within the next 12 months.

The Led Zeppelin guitarist mentioned, during a late 2010 interview with Planet Rock's Liz Barnes, "I’m desperate to be playing but it won’t be until next year".

The interview took place prior to Page presenting Killing Joke with the Innovator Award at the Classic Rock ‘Roll Of Honour’ awards ceremony and he also dropped a hint that some sort of collaboration may be in the pipeline, "I’ll get a good vehicle to get out there and do some concerts".

Details are sketchy as to whether the vehicle may be solo work or a band collaboration of some sort but it’s sure to have rock fans everywhere wondering (again!) if there may be another Led Zeppelin reunion of some sort coming our way. We can only hope!
