Detroit-born singer-songwriter Alex Winston is set to release her debut mini-album ‘Sister Wife’. The album will be available as a digital download from 7th February before being released in CD format on 4th March. ‘Sister Wife’ is a six-track mini-album and includes the single ‘Choice Notes’, which was released in August last year.
As well as writing and singing every song on ‘Sister Wife’, Alex is also a multi-instrumentalist and plays everything on the album. She has previously released an EP entitled ‘The Basement Covers’, which includes covers of songs by artists including the Rolling Stones, Jack Penate and Mumford & Sons. The EP is available as a free download through the website of her record label Heavy Roc.
Alex is also due to play a couple of live dates in London in January and February. On 27th January, she will play with Manchester band Egyptian Hip Hop at a New To Q show at Bush Hall. Then on 21st February, she will perform at her own gig at New Players Theatre as part of the NME Awards Shows.
