Alternative rockers The Strokes have finally returned to the scene, announcing that they will be releasing a new album in spring - as well as revealing extra info about the new LP.
The band are ready to tour as soon as the album hits the stores, and are playing loads of shows - including the legendary Coachella Festival.
‘Angles’ is set for a March 22nd release date, with the song-writing credit being shared by the whole band for the first time. The New York-based band spoke about their album, which is their first in five years, and how the different set up affected their latest production.
"It was a completely different way of working; we listened to everyone's ideas with open ears and came to collective decisions. Everyone had an opinion." Bassist Nikolai Fraiture revealed.
"Because of the nature of how we all came together on this one, there's a lot more variety. We took risks. We took more liberties to round out our sound and take it in a new direction."
“The album title, ‘Angles’, reflects the way the album was made, it's all about the different approach and the different ways these songs came out.”
He also later let slip on the track listing for the album ‘Angles’, and you can see it below:
1. Machu Picchu
2. Under Cover of Darkness
3. Two Kinds of Happiness
4. You’re So Right
5. Taken for a Fool
