Panic! At The Disco Confirm Release Date of New Album and Single

US alt-rockers Panic! At The Disco have confirmed details of a new single, ‘The Ballad of Mona Lisa’, which will be released on 21st March. It is the first track to be taken from their third album ‘Vices & Virtues’, which is due out the following week on 28th March. The album follows their 2008 release ‘Pretty. Odd’, which debuted at Number Two in the UK Album Chart and included the single ‘Nine in the Afternoon’.

‘Vices & Virtues’ is the first Panic! At The Disco album not to feature guitarist and primary songwriter Ryan Ross, who left in 2009 to form The Young Veins with former Panic! At The Disco bassist Jon Walker.

Speaking to Spin Magazine about ‘The Ballad of Mona Lisa’, vocalist Brendon Urie said: “On the surface it can seem like just the story of drama between a guy and a girl. But it's really about what I've been going through, an inner-struggle within myself.”

Going on to talk about the new album, he added: “This album is our study of our human behaviour. It's about our changes growing up.”

Panic! At The Disco will play a one-off UK show at Bush Hall in London on the 8th February.
