Jon Fratelli Announces Scottish Tour and London Date & Tickets

Jon Fratelli, the former frontman with Scottish rock trio The Fratellis, has announced details of a new tour of Scotland in March and April, which will follow his first solo performance in London at the Vibe Bar on 25th March. This news follows the recent announcement that Jon will be playing at this year’s Live At Leeds festival on 30th April. Other acts confirmed for the event include James Blake, Pulled Apart By Horses and the Young Knives.

The former Fratellis vocalist recently completed work on his debut solo album ‘Psycho Jukebox’, which is expected to be released in June. Jon’s new EP ‘The Magic Hour’ is currently available as a free download from his website.

In a recent interview for Stereoboard.com, Jon spoke about the new album: “I think it will make sense to anybody that liked The Fratellis, but it seems to be musically quite different, to me at least. All I know is what I wanted it to be and what I think it’s turned out to be, which is trying to squeeze as many different colours into the smallest space, musically, and to have as much going on as possible.”

At recent solo shows, Jon has been performing with his former bandmate and drummer Mince Fratelli. In addition to his new solo work, the gigs have also included some old favourites. Speaking about the forthcoming shows, Jon said: “I’m definitely getting itchy feet to get out and play and just make some noise. I would play every night if it was possible.”
