Rod Steward To Headline London's Hard Rock Calling & Tickets

Fresh from announcing a string of open-air football stadium and racecourse shows for the summer, Rod Steward has revealed plans to play another massive outdoor show by confirming he will headline this year's Hard Park Calling in London's Hyde Park on Sunday 26th June.

With a career spanning nearly half a century, seven number-one hit singles and a further 27 top-ten albums in the UK alone, Rod Stewart is cemented in history as one of the biggest selling artists of all time.

Lauded as having one of the most distinctive and interpretive voices in musical history, Rod Stewart’s distinctive style and soulful gravel-voice first took roots as part of the legendary Jeff Beck Group (1967), before fronting Faces (1969) with band mate Ronnie Wood on lead guitar.

It was Rod Stewart’s solo work that really propelled his global superstardom, with hit songs, including 'Maggie May', 'You Wear It Well','You’re In My Heart', 'Da Ya Think I’m Sexy', 'Sailing' and 'Baby Jane', to name but a few from an illustrious back catalogue that has influenced generations.

Rod Stewart will headline Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park, London, on Sunday 26th June 2011.

Rod Stewart Hard Rock Calling Tickets are onsale from 9am on Friday 11th June.
