Comedy swing vocalist and his band Lounge Against the Machine are to play at London’s HMV Forum in July as part of a rare trip to the UK. The gig will take place on Wednesday 6th July and tickets are on sale from Friday 11th March at 9am. Cheese has become known for his array of albums, which all feature cover versions of well-known rock songs, sung in a lounge style. His albums have included ‘Tuxicity’, ‘Aperitif for Destruction’ and ‘Viva la Vodka’.
Richard Cheese is based in Los Angeles and released his debut album ‘Lounge Against the Machine’ in 2000. It featured a selection of hilarious cover versions of songs by the likes of The Prodigy, Limp Bizkit and Radiohead. Last year, he released his ninth album ‘OK Bartender’, which included versions of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen, ‘Freebird’ by Lynyrd Skynyrd and ‘Smack That’ by Akon.
The London date will be a rare appearance in the UK for Richard Cheese, but is sure to be an entertaining evening of comedy and music.
