Howard Donald and Mark Owen, stars from the legendary Take That, were held in customs for hours after a small mistake led to them being questions by international officials in LA.
The pair were on the way to the states to meet bandmate Robbie Williams at his home in Hollywood on Sunday. But they ended up in a room in the airport being questioned on the credibility of their visa and whether they were in the states to work!
They both travelled to the U.S without working visa, and were attempting to get through customs as quick as they could. But they misheard an official calling out ‘Air France’ and ended up accidentally pushing into the queue and drew attention from security.
Someone present at the scene said "He thought someone called 'first class' as they approached security. The customs officer actually said 'Air France'."
“The lads are often on the LA flight but this visit was exceptionally bad. Howard was on the receiving end of the worst of it. They thought he was pulling a fast one, coming in the US to work.
"It was a fraught few hours. Howard was knackered and could have done without the hassle. Mark got through unscathed but it started the trip in the wrong mood."
