Toddla T Set To Release Vinyl Only Track For Record Store Day & Album Info

Toddla T returns for 2011 with a vinyl only offering as part of Record Store Day on April 16. Featuring the dulcet tones of his steel city sister in arms, Roisin Murphy, it’s a brilliantly packaged limited re-introduction to hip-hop, house and grime producer Toddla T.

Since the release of his debut album ‘Skanky Skanky’ in 2009, Toddla has been working nonstop on the follow up ‘Watch Me Dance’ (Aug 2011), writing and recording in Sheffield, London and Jamaica, slotting in sessions between his mind-numbing DJ schedule and Radio 1 DJ slots.

‘Cherry Picking’ sets the tone for the new album just at the right pitch, leaving ample room for you to brace yourselves for the first proper single ‘Take It Back’ (feat. Shola Ama), set for release on May 23.

In ensuring ‘Watch Me Dance’ was everything Toddla envisaged it could be he’s carefully selected an impressive line up of friends, peers and musical icons to guest vocal, co-produce, remix, co-write with him on the album - with names including previous collaborator Roots Manuva, fellow DJ, producer and remixer Skream, Ms Dynamite, Ross Orton, Wayne Marshall, Donaeo and of course Roisin and Shola Ama.
